Jacqui Prior

Gym Manager & Coach

My passion for fitness and well being has always been a huge part of me and over the years I have enjoyed many of the fitness fads including aerobics, step Reebok, Zumba (not one of my fav’s), spinning (I still love this one) and many more.


However, along came children and I forgot about me for a little while, I travelled along the treadmill for another 20 years and worked in jobs that I truly did not enjoy.


THEN along came my 50th year and suddenly BAM! a light bulb moment! Why am I do something day in day out that brings me no joy … this is when I decided to turn my passion in to my job. I completed a Fitness Diploma in Personal Training / Fitness Instructing as well as obtaining a certificate in Nutrition and Hydration.
Finally, I am doing what I love the most!

I get to work in a wonderful health and fitness environment, I can train myself, I get to coaching amazing ladies and help them on their own fitness journeys.

I get such pleasure in assisting everyone to become the best, healthiest versions of themselves. This is what I love to do, and in my book, that is a job well worth doing!
My future plans are to complete another course to learn more about nutrition as well as a course for 'Exercise for Fat Loss, in order to continually grow my knowledge.


I believe that fitness is much more than just physical fitness, it also needs to include our personal health and our mental well being, and at this point in my life I consider myself well and truly ‘fit’….

Nutritional Therapy & Pilates

I have a BSc. (hons) degree in Science and Sports Science and I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist / Nutritionist after studying for a further 3 years at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition under BANT. I am passionate about nutrition, health, fitness and the outdoors and have worked within the health and fitness industry for over 20 years!

I have been coaching fitness, exercise and pilates throughout my adult life and it has been such a great achievement to open a ladies only gym within Abingdon.

Exercise, health, nutrition are all connected and to optimise your lifestyle each aspect needs to be considered and attended to. Going to the gym and working out is a great start, but we also need to back it up with great nutrition which fuels our body and our mind, and compounds the results of our hard work hugely.

I see many people who have found Nutritional Therapy to be a revelation opening up a new world of possibilities for them. What we put into our bodies really does have a profound impact on our health.

Pilates is another holistic practice I strong encourage everyone to do. Not only is it a great way to reduce pain, but also increase mobility, strengthen your core, improve back health and it creates a space for mindfulness in your week. I'm so happy I can offer this for free to our First Point Fitness Members.
